El emblemático álbum de Simple Minds de 1985, «Once Upon A Time», se reedita con motivo de su 40.º aniversario el próximo 17 de octubre.

Recopilado en una caja de 5 CD y una edición especial limitada en vinilo rojo, esta reedición definitiva incluye temas destacados como «Alive and Kicking» y «Sanctify Yourself». Además, por primera vez, «Don’t You (Forget About Me)» se incluye en la lista de canciones del vinilo.

Once Upon a Time fue el séptimo álbum de estudio de Simple Minds, lanzado originalmente en 1985. Aunque ya eran un éxito en su natal Reino Unido y Europa, la banda también se había popularizado en Estados Unidos, principalmente gracias al éxito de «Don’t You (Forget About Me)», que apareció en la banda sonora de The Breakfast Club y se convirtió en un número 1 allí. Sin embargo, la banda dejó la canción fuera del álbum «Once Upon a Time»… ¡hasta ahora!

Se extrajeron cuatro sencillos del álbum: «Alive and Kicking» (número 7 en Reino Unido, número 3 en EE. UU.), «All the Things She Said» (número 9 en Reino Unido, número 28 en EE. UU.), «Sanctify Yourself» (número 10 en Reino Unido, número 14 en EE. UU.) y «Ghost Dancing» (número 13 en Reino Unido). El álbum encabezó las listas de éxitos del Reino Unido y alcanzó el número 10 en las estadounidenses (5 semanas consecutivas en el Top 10 de Billboard y 16 semanas en el Top 20).
